Notes

  • Common Office (Seasonal and Sanctoral feasts): Matins: 8,18,44 Lauds: 92,99,Dan.,150 Prime: 118 Terce: 118 Sext: 118 None: 118  Vespers: 109,110,112,115 Compline 133: in the second and third edition, there was also a separate Saturday office of the BVM with its own texts and psalmody.     
  • Office originally designed for the Abbey's Lay Brothers, and the first edition included Monastic Compline and a portion of the Monastic Chapter office at Prime;  there were also several Benedictine feasts;
  • The English psalm translation for the 1st edition was made by Paschal Botz, OSB and Basil Stegmann, OSB;   the English translation for the 2nd and third edition was the Eberhard Olinger, OSB translation for the CCD edition of the Bible, sponsored by the American Bishops.
